What's New?

-Updates have been awhile in coming. So what's up?

-Joe. We have bass! We have bass!

A couple new songs, including Serial Killer and Memories of the Past. And we threw a few out.

Possibly a recording gig next week! We'll see if they pull through with what they promised.

And congratulations to Andrew - he's married! Enemy of Fortune had a special performance at the reception.

Joe has finally mastered the basics of our music...it is time...time for him to be tested...trial by fire. It is time...to schedule a show.

-Waiting.  Just...waiting.  Waiting in the dark despair of a windowless closet as the spiders crawl down my back.  My thoughts have darkened to match the hue of the darkest of darkest nights, here in this hollow prison.  I am alone, waiting.  Nothing here to keep me company.

Just...waiting.

Waiting...for the time to come.

The time for that dude to hurry and return our e-mail about recording for free at expressions media.

COME ON MAN! WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?

- So we got our scorecards back from our Battle of the Bands audition.  Three out of the five judges scored us above average.  One judge said we were average, while another scored us below average.  Interesting: three judges, young enough to remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...three above average scores...two judges...I won't go there.

According to one judge, our songs sounded too similar.  So I guess Sunday, a crunchy, slow-starting, driving song about remembering better days is just WAY too similar to Never, a fast-paced, neck-breaking break up song wishing for that special someone to shove their political correctness up and out.  Maybe if we play the same song twice next time, they won't notice...

-In other news, Irene Lew of the CIA snuck into our practice space last Friday and recorded us playing Imashoe.  I had no idea it was happening until it was too late...probably a good thing too; if Andrew knew a camera was rolling there's no knowing WHAT he would've thrown at us.  Check out our myspace to see the video.

-Almost payday...
Irene Lew came back.  (E-mail us with the game that first starred Irene Lew to win the grand prize!) This time we were ready to play a couple more songs.  SUNDAY and BITTERSWEET are now posted on our myspace page.

I think we were spied on at Sizzler's the other night.  A waiter just sat down next to our table and watched us.  And breathed.  And laughed.  And breathed.  And nodded his head knowingly, as if he understood, truly, our plight.

And breathed.

It was weird.
